On August 12, 1918, Herschel M. Duncan fired up the roaster for the Duncan Coffee Company's first batch of coffee. Duncan had developed special coffee blends which were initially sold exclusively to the finest restaurants, hotels and railroad dining cars. His commitment to quality and freshness soon had the attention of coffee drinkers across the nation.
With this design, Levanta captured several important qualities of Duncan Coffee. The qualities are their history, their Texas roots and the freshness of their coffee. The homepage also serves as a springboard to the shopping areas of the site and allows quick access for returning customers.
In March of 2009, Levanta designed a newsletter to go out to all of Duncan's website customers. The newsletter was an instant success and generated a large amount of orders.
Levanta designed a custom shopping cart built on the Coldfusion and MSSQL platforms. The shopping cart integrates with the Authorize.net and PayPal Website Payments Pro gateways. Levanta also created an advanced administrative area for Duncan Coffee managers to print shipping and production reports, fulfill orders, maintain recurring customers, manage coffee cards and analyze sales data.
Levanta helped Duncan Coffee achieve high rankings for a variety of coffee-related keywords and also for Texas-related searches. These efforts combined with our design acumen have helped Duncan achieve an annual growth rate of 28%.
